I have been in love with photography ever since I was 10 years old. I live and breathe photography. When I’m not working as a photographer or teaching photography, I’m photographing to relax. Part of my mind is always thinking about the light around me and whether the background would work for a photograph.
Shooting a wedding is like a photographic adventure to me. I get to once again explore an ever changing expanse of people, places and events, each with their own light, energy, and story to tell. I ask myself, where is the light, how can I add light, what I can I do to take a picture that pleases the eye while telling a piece of the story. I look for emotions, movements, gestures, interactions, humor, fun ,and energy. I always challenge myself to find the right angle and the perfect light to capture a moment worth remembering. I ask myself what would be valued, what will touch the heart, bring a smile, or please the eye.
I love my clients. I value the trust placed in me in recording and creating a body of work of those special moments that have meaning to them, and are happily and warmly remembered.
